It’s very hard for me to choose between which clothes to buy or where to travel. It’s even hard for me to choose what to wear, from what is already chosen for me! You’ll tell me “come one, wear a pair of jeans, a t-shirt and a jacket and go out” It’s easy to say but is hard to do it in the end. How easy it is for me to follow the sentence above when I have to choose which beers impressed me in 2013? It’s not, because 2013 had lots of good beers. I squished my mind which of them I drank and “I liked to drink in 2013”
Anchor Steam Beer – The beer that registered its name because of its category. The hybrid beer, in all its glory. Notes of caramel and hops in a light version.
Urthel Hop-It – Three hops mean bitterness. The beer is quite strong, so beware. We certainly overdid it with the first opportunity and we asked again for the mustached bitter sweet ..
Gulden Draak – Quite strong and certainly unique. Reminds wine because it is fermented with champagne yeast and travels you to chocolaty and fruity destinations.
32 Audace – Dare to try it, we did and we were totally satisfied. A beer which is perfect for sharing among friends and combines fruity and floral characteristics with “eclectic tastes”.
Hobgoblin – The British dark mischief. The light beer with fruity aromas and delicate bitterness. Try it again and again, is light.
Delphi – The beer which we didn’t expect to like that much. It’s amazing for all seasons. Flowery aromas, such as chamomile, evening primrose and cypress are hiding in the bottle. We are waiting the small bottle for greater consumption.
Septem ACE – The first Greek Imperial IPA, with aromas of peach and citrus. Unfortunately is not in our company any more. We loved it that much that we drank it all and it gone fast! It was also a limited edition. We want more! We want more!
Chios Fresh House Ale – The beer which, wherever you drink it brings to your mind Kampos (Lowlands) of Chios Island and all the citrus.
Mary Rose – Based on a British recipe, this Greek beer was awarded last year and renew its label. It goes with red sauces and you can drink it like water.
Zeos Pilsner (Unpasteurized) – Light body, flowery aromas and as fresh it is as better it is. I liter is not enough. Summer memory from my visit at the brewery (nostalgia .. how many days till summer? Haha)
You understand that every year our preferences get changed and they change because of the variety of the. I will try, in 2014 to drink even more beers (I wish the Greek Breweries to give us that opportunity), I will try to taste complex, bizarre, unique and pleasant flavors (until I won’t fit through the door, shall I do the beer diet?). Just before 2013 gone and 2014 arrives, we will dink to us and we will bring in mind the beers we drank and we would love to drink again, just like what I did.
